The Professional Pictures

I hired an aspiring student photographer to shoot my wedding. He is a student at The Art Institute where I work. I was impressed by his website: http://www.chrisbeboutphoto.com/
Instead of uploading 50+ pictures you can find them on the link below:

The Big Day

We have officially been married one week tonight. After spending two nights alone at The Boulder's we arrived back home to kids, a messy house, work, and real life. It didn't seem like anything really changed except now I get to say, "My husband ....." and he calls me his "wifey".

Saige, who has always been the loving and happiest child is having the hardest time adjusting to our marriage. She is having a lot of anxiety about not feeling loved no matter how much we tell her she is. She feels I love Dwayne and not her. She says she doesn't love Dwayne and "He's not my dad." has been said over and over again. We sat her down and tried to explain that there is plenty of love to go around and that I love her more than anyone but she is still upset and even has asked Dwayne and I not to kiss more than once a day. I will continue to give her extra time and attention until she feels she is an equal and valued part of our new family as well as loved by both Dwayne and I.

The wedding day was a lot more stressful than I could have imagined. Stress + Jen = Bitch. I do not deal well with stress and always end up taking it out on everyone else, being short, pushy, & angry. Pretty much the sum of what your aren't supposed to act like on your wedding day. My scheduled makeup and hair appointments were much longer than expected making me late meanwhile Dwayne was having to deal with all the kids, decorations, stereo, and parents without my help. Despite everything, I think the wedding turned out beautiful, the weather was perfect and all of the most important people in our lives were able to attend.

The pictures on this link were taken mostly by me or my sister Debbie. The wedding photographer pictures will be posted later. http://www.flickr.com/photos/11478640@N00/

Almost A Bride

In just a little over a day from now I will be once again attempting a feat that many try, but few succeed at, MARRIAGE. I feel once again like a giddy little girl on Christmas Eve waiting to see if Santa shows up. For weeks all I can think about is saying "I do", not so much about the ceremony but more about what this marriage means to me. How lucky I am to have found my true love and how excited I am to become his wife. Oh yes, I know there will be much work involved in the "forever" part of the marriage. Forever is a heck of a long time. I thought only Spam lasts that long. I can't tell you how excited I am to find someone up for the challenge. Spam VS The Broadwater's, stay tuned and see....

But seriously, Dwayne has been the light in my life for the past year. When I look into his eyes I can see forever. I can see us getting old together, him changing my bladder bag, and me telling him for the 5th time in a day what room the fridge is located in. Together we will break down but still take care of each other till the end. The security of knowing we can fully trust each other to always do the right thing and look out for the best interests of each other. He will always have my back and I will always have his. It's a really good feeling to know someone loves me even without my makeup on, even if I gained a few too many pounds, and even if I have the biggest zit on the tip of my nose. It's a good feeling to know I can reciprocate loving him just the way he does me, unconditionally.

I really am the luckiest girl in the world. I love you Dwayne, I really do.

Kindergarten Graduation

Although I missed Saiges graduation, her daddy, pappa, and granny were all able to make it for the big night. Granny brought Owl themed graduation gifts. The stupidest thing ever is they are no longer allowed to call it "Graduation", because "some kids didn't pass and we don't want them to feel bad", so the flunkies get to party it up with the rest of the kids in the "Celebration Party" instead of "Graduation".
