The Marrying Type

There are two types of people in the world: The marrying type and the non-marrying type. I am for sure the marrying type. In my world there is nothing more awesome that falling in love and committing yourself for what you believe will be a lifetime of laughter, love, and friendship. After one failed marriage the thought of trying again poses a bit of fear at first. Why should this time be any different? Why would we be so special that we would make it when one of every three marriages fails? And why would anyone in their right mind be willing to keep me till death do us part? I write this as my future husband lay snoring next to me. I look at him with nothing but simple, pure love.

What I didn't know then but know now is the foremost reason I know this time is for keeps. With age comes both wisdom and maturity. Fatal errors in judgement made in the past will not be repeated. This time I marry for love. This time I marry not for what I can take, but for what I can give. It's hard to explain to an outsider that has seen us as a brief love encounter that the bond we have is a connection that is truly a rarity in this life. So if you didn't already know, I will be Mrs. Broadwater on May 21, 2011, I am excited to begin this new journey in life with the man I was always meant to be with.
